Ubuntu 24.04 packages are now available for Suri Oculus

We have published installation packages of Suri Oculus for Ubuntu 24.04.

The goal was to make deployment simpler and more predictable, especially for environments where building from source is not desirable.

During packaging, we ran into a practical issue:
the Rust version available in Ubuntu 24.04 repositories is outdated for our needs.

As a result, we had to use a newer Rust toolchain from the official Rust repository instead of the default Ubuntu packages.

This is an important detail for anyone planning to build or extend the system.

What’s included:

  • core components (C++ backend, Redis-based pipeline)
  • service integration for Suricata environments
  • ready-to-use deployment structure

Notes:

  • AI modules (Python, Isolation Forest) are distributed separately and are OS-independent
  • this release focuses specifically on system-level components and deployment

Next steps:

  • further packaging improvements
  • performance tuning
  • development of Host Behavior Fingerprint (HBF)
