Suricata Management Console — Centralized Control and Configuration

Suri Oculus provides a lightweight and efficient Suricata Management Console that simplifies rule updates, configuration control, service monitoring, and log handling. It is designed for administrators who need a clean and reliable interface for managing Suricata across various environments.

Centralized Control for Suricata Deployments

The management console allows you to control Suricata from a single, unified interface:

  • start/stop/restart the Suricata service

  • monitor service status and performance

  • apply configuration changes

  • manage Suricata modes (IDS/IPS/detection-only)

  • view system-level status and runtime metrics

The interface is optimized for speed and low latency.

Automatic and Manual Rule Management

The console provides complete control over Suricata rules:

  • enable/disable rule categories

  • load custom rules

  • update rules from external feeds

  • manage IoC lists (domains, IP addresses, JA3 signatures)

  • integrate third-party blocklists

Rule changes can be applied instantly without downtime.

Configuration Editing with Safety Controls

The Management Console includes a built-in configuration editor that:

  • validates YAML syntax

  • prevents invalid configurations

  • supports backup/restore

  • shows differences between versions

This eliminates the risk of breaking Suricata with incorrect settings.

Designed for Lightweight and Embedded Systems

Suri Oculus works even on:

  • cheap home routers

  • low-power x86 boards

  • VPS micro-instances

  • ARM-based devices

The UI uses plain JavaScript and does not require heavy frameworks.
